I'm an Army veteran, a husband, and a father. Before any of this, I was a printer. I tried college, but it wasn't the path that worked for me. Life took me in a different direction.
About five years ago, I got into trading.
Like a lot of beginners, I bought a trading program. It was worth the money — but it wasn't built for someone starting from zero. It assumed I already understood things I didn't.
I made plenty of mistakes. Looking back, most of them came down to one thing:
It wasn't stupidity. It was ignorance — and there was nobody there to explain the things I didn't even know to ask about.
That gap between where a beginner starts and where they can finally begin to understand what they're doing is exactly why I built Alpha Breakout Lab.
Why It's Free
I wanted to create the resource I wish I'd had when I started. A place where someone can learn how the market actually works without being bombarded with hype, promises of overnight riches, stock picks, or endless sales pitches.
There are no picks to sell here. I'm not going to hand you a list of stocks and tell you to trust me. I'd rather teach you how to find opportunities, evaluate them, manage risk, and make your own decisions. Because following someone else's picks isn't really learning to trade.
What I Believe
I believe the stock market can be a vehicle for changing financial lives. But there's no shortcut. You can't skip the learning and expect the money to take care of itself. Trading requires knowledge, discipline, risk management, and a willingness to learn from your mistakes.
The problem is that when people are struggling financially, they're often looking for the fastest possible way out. I understand that. I've been there.
That's why I built ABL around something simple: Learn first. Risk less. Think for yourself. The education will stay free. That's not a marketing gimmick — it's the reason I built this site in the first place.
The One-Stop Shop I Wish I'd Had
When I started trading, everything was scattered. The lessons were on one website. The charts were somewhere else. The tools cost extra. Important information was buried behind paywalls. And everywhere I looked, someone was trying to sell me something.
I spent too much time trying to find the information I needed and not enough time actually learning. I kept thinking: why isn't all of this in one place? So I started building it.

One More Thing
There's one part of my story I don't talk about often.
I was born with a hole in my heart. I wasn't supposed to survive my first night. I did. After that, I was told I might be a vegetable until I was seven — and then I would die. I lived.
I've spent my entire life doing things people told me I wasn't supposed to be able to do. Building Alpha Breakout Lab is just the latest one.
I don't know how far this thing will go. But I know why I'm building it. If I can take everything I've learned — the mistakes, the lessons, the things I wish someone had explained to me — and make the road a little easier for the next person, then it's worth doing.
Maybe someone who comes to this site will learn something that keeps them from making an expensive mistake. Maybe they'll discover that they can understand the market after all. Maybe they'll become a better trader. And maybe, someday, that knowledge will change their financial life.
Not to sell people a dream. To give them the tools to build their own.
